I am looking for alternative methods or components for the the struts that attach the tail plane/stab to the fus on the M.D, Mk1. I have used two 6.5mm dowels on both sides but have had to repair them a couple of time.

I simply used wire rigging and made it so the rigging wires could be easily detached from the horz. stab. I used aluminium angle iron to bolt the horizontal stab to the vertical stab. That way I can remove it for transportation if space is limited.
