Mud Duck Aviation Forums

Well, I was never sure it was possible.  Someone actually redesigned a Mud Duck into a float plane!  My Dad had found it on the flying clubs website and showed it to me.  It works, and works GREAT!  Its a flash movie on their website heres the address for the club:

  I thought I already had posted a link to that video in the past but not sure where I put it.  The owner of that Duck is Ralph Smith and he is a float designer and builder.  He has a website for his "common" floats that he sells his company name is: Plane Fun Floats.  

  He doesn't make anything (available for sale) for the Ducks specifically but I worked with him on a set. Based on the ones he designed and used on his Duck in the video.  He told me that there were some improvements he wanted to make on them and and sent me some drawings incorporating them.  I currently have a friend and associate working on a set based on his drawings and we are modifying slightly and making up assembly instructions for them.  So we will have something available for this season for Duck owners who want to "take to the water".

  I also was given permission to use and a hi-resolution copy of the same video so I may use it on my site directly without draining their bandwith by sending customers to their club site.  That will go live on my site when I get to redesigning it.
