FUDDLOW FLIES ONCE MORE.

FUDDLOW FLIES ONCE MORE.

WELL THIS TIME I BROUGHT THE WING STRUTS WITH ME.YESTERDAY I LEFT THEM AT HOME AND I HAD TO FLY MY SEA FURY WHICH AS GETTING COB WEBS IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK..
I HAD  SOME ISSUES WHEN I WAS GETTING THE DUCK READY TO FLY.FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON I FITTED THE LANDING GEAR TRACK OVER TO THE RIGHT ABOUT A 1/2 INCH..SO THE PLANE KEPT LEANING OVER TO ONE SIDE. BEFORE I REALIZED WHAT WAS GOING ON. WHEN I GET A CHANCE I WILL MAKE A SPECIAL SPACER  TO MOVE ONE OF THE LANDING GEAR TUBE SO THEY ARE BOTH EVEN.I ALSO HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE SWIVEL TAIL WHEEL NOT TURNING-I WILL TIGHTEN THE SPRINGS TO SEE IF THAT HELPS .I STUCK FUDDLOW AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND GOT THE TAIL UP TO SEE IF IT WAS GOING TO BE A TAIL HEAVY PLANE KNOWING THAT I ADDED 2 POUNDS OF GLUE, STEEL AND WOOD TO THE DUCK IT GOT AIRBORN WITHIN A FEW FEET... I KEPT IT THERE THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE RUNWAY,AND STUCK SOME PRESSURE ON THE ELEVATOR AND FUDDLOW UP UP AND AWAY.THIS TIME THERE WERE NO BAD MANNERS LIKE THE OLD DUCK, IT FLEW STRAIGT AND TRUE.I BACKED OFF ON THE THROTTLE AND BROUGHT IT BACK TO 1/8 THROTTLE SETTING.IT LOVES TO FLOAT AROUND.NO 400FT DIVES JUST YET.THE NEW METAL GEAR SERVO ON THE ELAVATOR HAS GOT TONS OF TORQUE AND IS DIGITAL...(TALK ABOUT FUNNY NOISES.) I DID SOME MANUVERS AND FUDDLOW RESPONDED PERFECTLY WITH NO PROBLEMS, THIS TIME IT SPORTS A MASTER 18-10 PROP.. ITS GOT LOTS OF GRUNT NOW. I BROUGHT THE ENGINE BACK TO IDLE AND PUT IT INTO A FLIGHT PATTERN, AND IT REFUSED TO COME DOWN OUT OF THE SKY,I ACTUALLY HAD TO PUSH THE NOSE DOWN TO LOOSE ALTITUDE.NICE SOFT LANDING WAS FOR THE MAKING.IT FLYS MUCH MUCH BETTER,AND I AM PLEASED THAT ALL THE EXPERMENTAL PARTS WORK SO WELL.SUNDAY I WILL GET SOME VIDEOS GOING ON  SO OTHERS CAN SEE IT... LEO
