Mud Ducks & RC Flight Simulators Flight Simulators are very commonplace these days and they keep getting better every year. Below is are a two R/C simulators that have something in common, the Mud Duck! Both simulators have a virtual version of the Mud Duck to fly, and one even has the Agri-Duck as well. Both simulators do not include the Mud Duck (or Agri-Duck) in the core program but they are available for free as add-on models. You may be familiar with one or both but they are described below for your convenience. The first is a very inexpensive simulator, Clearview RC Flight Simulator has photo realistic scenery and 3D graphics. The second is FMS (Flying Model Simulator) which has always been free and has been around for a long time and regularly upgraded and hundreds of models to fly. Clearview RC Flight Simulator
Clearview RC Flight Simulator is a very inexpensive program with great graphics and flight simulation. It does not rival the top end programs in top end graphics, but it's main function, to emulate RC flight, is dead on and the graphics are still very good. At almost 1/10th the cost of its competitors this program is only $39.95 for the program with free lifetime upgrades, buy it once and you never have to pay for a new version again. It uses simple adapters to use your radio transmitter or you can purchase a wired dummy box from various suppliers. The program is free to download and demo, once you are sure it your system will run it, you can pay for the full version online to unlock the unlimited program. The neat thing about this simulator is that you can also purchase some design software if you are talented that way, and deign your own aircraft and elements to the simulator. One such talented and prolific person, Ken Northup, designed the Mud Duck MkII and the Agri-Duck at the request of Mud Duck modeler Matthew Stapleton. "I wanted to share with you the download pictures I have of a few models I had requested for the simulator I use to train on flying. I have a Mud Duck Mk. ll, and an Agri-Duck. The simulator I use is Clearview R/C Simulator. The Mud Duck was converted from an old FMS Simulator model, and the Agri-Duck was custom made for Clearview. I just wanted to share these pictures of them for you and any other Mud Duck fans to see. Without a doubt the Mud Duck and Agri-Duck are my favorite planes in the sim" - Matthew Stapleton Clearview Direct Links Here are direct links to all of the files and support information for downloading the Clearview (CV) simulator and the Mud Duck models.
